It capitalizes on the ranging period that occurs within the first hour after the New York close. It detects small fluctuations, enters trades with reverse orders (catching the breakout and then retracement), and attempts to exit at a certain level before significant volatility occurs if the trade is not profitable during the ranging period. The strategy also attempts to exit under favorable conditions before the European session opens if the trade isn't profitable during the ranging period.
